In Europe, Dow Polypropylene glycols are also used in paint and coating applications.

Printing and Inks:

CARBOWAX™ PEGs and MPEGs have a unique combination of properties which makes them useful in many types of ink formulations. They can act as humectants, solvents and lubricants. They are excellent dye carriers, and offer controlled hygroscopicity in setting of inks. PEGs are used as the polyol portion of UV-cured printing inks and can provide lubrication for printing equipment when used as a component of inks.
